Chamber Elects New Board Members and 2024 Officers

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. [Dec. 5, 2023] -  Business and community leaders from a diverse range of backgrounds have been elected to serve terms on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama.  

Joining the 46-member board as new directors are Chris Gunter of Buffalo Rock / Pepsi; Cal Holt of Southern Ale House; Shay Lawson of Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors; and Shane Spiller of Spiller Furniture.  

Elected to return to the board for a second three-year term are Brock Corder of The Builders Group and Steven Deal of Pritchett-Moore Inc.  

Each director will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2024. 

The Chamber’s Board of Directors has also elected its leadership team for 2024. Jheovanny Gomez, owner of Jalapenos Restaurants, will serve as chair of the Board of Directors. Carl Jamison of JamisonMoneyFarmer PC will serve as Chair-Elect. Joining Gomez and Jamison on the Executive Committee is outgoing Board chair Michele Coley of Allstate Coley Agency; Anwar Aiken of The Grand Event Design & Décor; Bobby Bragg of JamisonMoneyFarmer PC; Matt Fajack of The University of Alabama; Chip Fuqua of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc.; Chris Gunter of Buffalo Rock / Pepsi; Blake Madison of Rosen Harwood; Jordan Morris of Ward Scott Morris Architecture; David Pass of The Sealy Companies; Kelsey Rush of Visit Tuscaloosa; Kyle South of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama; and Shane Spiller of Spiller Furniture.
